Community Development Project

The Community Development Project works for the local development of communities in vulnerable situations through engineering projects.  The projects are developed with a comprehensive approach in conjunction with communities throughout Argentina. It partners with different institutions, cooperatives, and social organizations in urban and rural sectors and shares its approach and experience by offering training and educational programs.  It also promotes volunteer work, participation, and the formation of collaborative alliances with institutions and organizations of the public and private sector of Argentina and other countries.

Possible Intern Roles:

Education & Teaching Intern

The intern will carry out projects related to formation and training. Tasks will include:

  • Draft content and assist in training sessions for staff of incipient partnerships.

  • Assist in coordinating the production of educational materials.

  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the training program.

Suggested Spanish level: Intermediate
Candidate requirements: Ability to work on a small, high-performing team. Creativity, communication, and teamwork skills.  Pedagogical and interpersonal skills.

Technology & Web Development Intern

This project offers the intern an exciting opportunity to get to speak with leaders in the information technology field and learn from their stories, while creating a powerful collection of case studies to help to further position Argentina as a leader in this field.

Suggested Spanish level: Advanced
Candidate requirements: The ideal candidate will have an interest in information technology, strong communications skills, resourcefulness, creative thinking, a sensitivity to the needs of volunteers and donors, and a willingness to carry out a range of administrative tasks.
