Safety Information

Puentes prioritizes safety and has robust procedures in place to ensure the well-being of all participants.

• 24/7 On-the-Ground Support: Puentes always has at least two city managers available around the clock to handle any emergencies.  We provide proactive and reactive support during their entire stay in Argentina.

• Comprehensive Preparation: Participants take part in thorough pre-departure preparations and in-country orientation seminars on safely living abroad.  Each program participant is required to have emergency medical and travel health insurance for their program duration.

• Reliable Communication: We ensure all participants have a functioning cell phone with data and access to WiFi-enabled communication tools for use in emergencies, whether personal, political, or environmental.  Puentes maintains up-to-date contact information for all participants, their housing hosts, and workplace supervisors.

• Adherence to Safety Guidelines: We closely monitor and follow recommendations from the U.S. State Department and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to guide our programming planning and implementation.
