Social Sciences Network

This Latin American social science network was created in 1967 and brings together more than 650 centers throughout the region and the Global South.  The objectives of the network are the promotion and development of research and teaching in the Social Sciences; the strengthening of exchange and cooperation between institutions and researchers from within and outside the region; and the adequate dissemination of knowledge produced by social scientists among social forces and movements and civil society organizations. Through these activities, the network helps to rethink, from a critical and plural perspective, the integral problems of Latin American and Caribbean societies.
