Research and Academic Think Tank

The Research and Academic Think Tank is a research center and academic think tank devoted to the exploration of different lines of thought in the areas of Law, Humanities, and Social Sciences. It aims to understand the evolution of rules and institutions and to propose public policies guided by the said exploration. The purpose of the think tank is to renew the academic debate, incorporating cutting edge research in the fields of evolutionary theory, experimental philosophy and economics, evolutionary game theory, behaviorist law and economics, and neuroscience, as well as the latest versions of public choice theory, the new institutional economics, the rational choice theory, and other contemporary lines of study. They focus on the analysis of various aspects of social reality in the light of these perspectives, developing research and organizing diffusion activities. Furthermore, this research is meant for public policy proposals to be incorporated into the public debate and political parties’ platforms. In this regard, the think tank promotes the interaction between researchers with diverse backgrounds, politicians, and journalists..

Possible Intern Roles:

FUNDRAISING INTERN

The objective of the project is to research and identify possible grants available from international funding sources (international foundations, funds, organizations, and academic institutions) and to evaluate the plausibility of applying to each funding source, taking into account the requirements and application process for each grant. Once the recommended grants are identified, the intern will write grant proposals in collaboration with the organization’s director. Moreover, the intern will help identify and develop an educational platform to offer a virtual course.

Suggested Spanish level: Intermediate
Candidate requirements: The intern should have an interest in philosophy, politics and economics, legal theory, and/or public policy. The intern should have an affinity for the ideas of the classical liberal tradition.

RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS INTERN

The Research and Academic Think Tank will carry out research projects on analyzing and monitoring the new national government in Argentina, considering economics, politics, and international relations. Moreover, the Foundation will create and deliver a virtual course on subjects such as Political Economy, Legal and Political Philosophy, Decision Theory. etc. during the year.

The intern will on one hand, compile and analyze information and reports on different realms such as economics, politics and law, helping the director to write a monthly report. On the other hand, the intern will help researchers/professors to organize and coordinate contents for a virtual course the Foundation will be offering during the year. Finally, the intern will help with the organization of in-person and virtual meetings and seminars related with the academic research and courses offered by the Foundation.
