Mendoza Bodega/Wine Exporter

Mendoza Bodega/Wine Exporter is a small, 100% estate and terroir-driven winery based in Maipu, Mendoza.  It exports 95% of its production to the United States, with presence in almost 25 states, and has marginal sales in Argentina, Canada, and China.  Cristian Allamand in the viticultor, winemaker, and founder of the company, and he is one of the few winemakers in Argentina that spends more time working on the vineyards that originate the wines than at the winery making the wines, with the goal to make wines with a different personality, with a true sense of place, wines that are respectful and honest to their origin.

Communications and Social Media

Mendoza Bodega/Wine Exporter currently does not have a social media presence, so the intern’s project will be to launch the company’s social media.  The intern will craft a social media strategy and launch plan, create the content, and implement the launch.  The intern will also map out and draft an ongoing annual social media plan in order to continue to strengthen the company’s social media presence once the intern has left.

Candidate requirements: Previous experience managing corporate social media and developing plans around them would be ideal.

Graphic and Web Design

The intern will undertake a full update of company’s web page in order to make it more compelling, complete, and user friendly.  The intern will also develop a mobile version of the web page that is easy to maintain and use.

Suggested Spanish level: No Spanish required
Candidate requirements: The intern should have previous experience with website development and implementation.

Business Development

The intern carry out a business development project in order to search for an investor in the United States.  The intern will first gather all the required information to make an impactful and effective dossier about the company in order to present the project to possible investors.  The intern will research possible investors and then design and execute an outreach effort to actually get investor leads in the United States (via email campaigns, social media, direct contacts, and more).  Finally, the intern will create an ongoing plan to continue this activity once the intern has left (action plans, databases, metrics, etc.).

Candidate requirements: The ideal candidate will have great presentation skills, analytical skills, marketing knowledge, and interests in company valuation.
