Possible Intern Roles:

Business Development Intern

The intern will participate in strategic design projects in order to solve a business challenge or to generate innovation for a client organization through the application of design thinking.  The tasks may include, among others: survey of objectives, needs, and business context; analysis of information and data about the business ecosystem; research with potential addressees to understand their behavior, needs, and constraints; participation in strategic design workshops to devise solutions or to select the solutions to be implemented; evaluation of solutions prototypes with the addressees; and assisting senior designers in their roles.

Suggested Spanish level: Advanced
Candidate requirements: The ideal candidate will have experience in innovation, design, user experience (UX), customer experience (CX), research, evaluation, project management, and/or business development. They ideally have an academic background in the following academic fields: social sciences, political science, business administration, and business design. They should have prior experience utilizing strategic design and qualitative and/or quantitative research techniques.

Research & Analysis INTERN

The intern will apply qualitative and/or quantitative research techniques such as surveys, interviews, and ethnography. They will have to pile and interpret data to provide innovative insights.
Additional responsibilities include preparing reports, graphics, and presentations to show research results and insights, as well as identifying good practices through benchmarking and establishing recommendations to improve a procedure, product, or service. Lastly, the intern will assist designers with user research.

Suggested Spanish level: Advanced
Candidate requirements: The ideal candidate will have experience in innovation, design, user experience (UX), customer experience (CX), research, evaluation, project management, and/or business development. They will have prior experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research and may have a background in one of the following academic fields: social sciences, anthropology, political science, humanities, psychology, and behavioral sciences.

GRAPHIC & WEB DESIGN INTERN

The intern will design the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) in digital products.
They will be responsible for conceptualizing and designing new features for websites and apps, documenting the components and styles used within a product in a brand book or design system, assisting in user research, and preparing and conducting usability tests.

Suggested Spanish level: Advanced
Candidate requirements: The ideal candidate will have experience in the following: graphic design, visual design, arts, advertising, UX design, and/or UI design. They should be familiar with wireframing, prototyping, information architecture, and visual communication.

COORDINATION & SERVICE INTERN

The intern will be responsible for mapping the user experience of a service, considering every touchpoint, identifying opportunities to improve both user experience and business efficiency, conducting market analysis and user research, crafting the storytelling to help envision a future service, and communicating the service to customers.

Suggested Spanish level: Advanced
Candidate requirements: The ideal candidate may have an academic background in one of the following fields: service design, business design, administration, and psychology. They should have prior experience in the customer journey, service blueprint, and workshop design.
