Digital Civic Technology Project

The Digital Civic Technology Project believes that access to information technologies is a right and that the digital divide is a new form of social inequality that must disappear.  They aim to strengthen social organizations in their trajectory to become more autonomous and independent in the use of new technologies.  As a nonprofit that works with and for civil society organizations in Latin America, the organization knows the advantages that technology can offer to social initiatives and has the tools and knowledge to enhance the impact of organizations with innovative ideas.

Possible Intern Roles:

Fundraising Intern

The intern will be tasked with supporting the Institutional Development team in the search for funds for civic technology projects in Argentina, in addition to supporting the daily tasks of the Institutional Development team.  The intern’s tasks will include the following:

  • Research, selection, and application of international cooperation opportunities.

  • Monitoring of opportunities for new social impact projects, by email and telephone.

  • Campaigns called to former allies and NGOs with which the organization has already worked.

  • Survey of potential nonprofit partners and their contacts.

  • Event organization support.

  • Support in the creation of funding proposals and budgets.

Suggested Spanish level: Advanced
Candidate requirements: The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and oral communication skills, and knowledge of the latest technology trends. CRM knowledge is a plus, and it is required to have a proactive attitude and to be eager to learn.

Data Analysis Intern

The intern will be tasked with carrying out the exploration, extraction, analysis, and transformation of data from surveys, as well as programming and visualizing data through command panels (mainly Tableau and PowerBI). The intern should be able to design, develop, test, and implement dashboards aimed at providing the best level of experience in decision making for the community that uses the organization’s products or projects.

Suggested Spanish level: Advanced
Candidate requirements: The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to program, assemble, and design boards with data visualization tools. The candidate should also be able to work with agile methodologies, to participate in the process of assembling product solutions that improve user experience, and to perform proof of concept evaluations.
