Puentes and Our University Partners
Professional and Cultural Immersion Programs in Argentina and Uruguay
Puentes : “Bridges” in Spanish
We are an international education company, designing and implementing excellent internship and study abroad programs in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Montevideo, Uruguay, for universities and their students. We build bridges between students and professional, academic, and cultural immersion opportunities.
Since 2014, we specialize in building and implementing comprehensive and customized internship programs in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 2019, we are launching a pilot internship program in neighboring Montevideo, Uruguay. We are also an excellent partner to oversee boutique study abroad programs for universities that are looking for a more hands-on, personalized, cohort experience for their students, instead of the multinational study abroad providers’ cookie cutter programs.
How we Partner with Universities
Puentes partners with universities to conceptualize, build, and manage dynamic and engaging internship and study abroad programs, both of which may be complemented by cultural activities, professional development, housing, participant support, and program evaluation.
All of the program components can be customized to fit your university’s unique objectives and processes. Puentes sees each university partner as just that – a true partner in all steps along the way. We work closely with each university to understand your current state of international programs and future objectives, to seamlessly integrate Puentes and our services, and to implement a cohesive and turnkey solution to meet – or better yet, exceed – your expectations. We have successfully partnered with universities to build new programs, to transition their program management from in-house to third party providers, and to replace previous providers in program management; in other words, we know how to come in as a partner at different stages in your program development, and we understand the intricacies of each scenario.
Our university partners pay Puentes a per student program fee that includes the services selected and designed for each program. Some universities also choose to provide students with extra funding to cover airfare and living expenses, especially if students are on financial aid, so that all students regardless of financial situation can participate and benefit from the immersion experience. We are nimble in working within each university’s budget, and our goal is to offer services at competitive and reasonable costs.
Puentes provides a customized and meaningful internship or study abroad experience, together with personalized professional development, engaging cultural activities, housing, and constant support before, during, and after the adventure. The following are examples of services that we provide, which can be chosen, combined, and assembled as you see fit.

Why Partner with Puentes
Stellar client proof. A good indicator of future success is past performance. Our current clients are top universities, such as Princeton University, Yale College, and University of Pennsylvania. Through extensive and thorough selection processes, these universities have chosen Puentes as their exclusive provider in Argentina, and each year they renew their partnership with Puentes, based on prior years’ successes.
Cross-cultural know-how. We have a deep understanding of the needs, interests, and energies of undergraduate students and young professionals. We also master the particularities, dynamics, and day-to-day workings of Buenos Aires and Montevideo. We are based in Buenos Aires, and our bilingual and bicultural team is from Argentina and the United States.
Meticulous and cheerful organization. We are highly organized, detail oriented, punctual, and ridiculously prepared. We approach programming in a cheerful way, as we strive for the highest standard of professionalism in all we do.
