After applying, between four and five students have gained acceptance into each of the OSU student consulting teams with the goal of providing meaningful and results-based consulting services for Puentes’ partners in Argentina: Fundación Cruzada Patagónica, Fundación QMark, and Fundación Desafío Bariloche.
Fundación Cruzada Patagónica
Consulting Team: Adam Amara (Project Manager), Ava Hernandez, Grace Zhang, Jiayi Han, Rithvik Kapaganti (Engagement Manager)
The mission of Fundación Cruzada Patagónica is to provide opportunities for education and development for communities in rural Patagonia, with a presence in three Argentine provinces: Chubut, Río Negro, and Neuquén. The Foundation’s key accomplishments include establishing three free agricultural schools that offer educational opportunities to young people in rural areas, particularly those from under-resourced, remote communities who live in student residences. Without these schools, many of these students would not have the chance to continue their secondary education. In addition, through professional training and rural development projects, the Foundation helps rural communities to access safe water, leverage renewable energy for agricultural production, and do building improvements for homes and community centers. With over 45 years of experience, the Foundation has consistently brought education and community development to rural Patagonia.
