Program Overview

As conceptualized by the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School, the Global Immersion Elective (GIE) Program developed in conjunction with Puentes Abroad will explore the enchanting cities of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Montevideo, Uruguay.

This immersive experience in two neighboring Latin American countries will allow for a meaningful opportunity to analyze strategic issues that arise in these emerging markets and allow for the development of critical thinking and global understanding.  Emphasis will be placed on creating spaces to critically discuss the similarities and differences that exist across borders and provide context on the macroeconomic complexities that affect the region.
