Internship Program Activities
Throughout your Puentes program, we will have diverse and engaging professional and cultural activities. We highly encourage you to attend all of the events listed below, which are included in your program and have no extra cost to you. In advance of each activity, you’ll receive an email from us with further details and a request to confirm your attendance.
The Spring Internship Program activities will include a welcome dinner, a city tour, local cultural activities, and a day trip outside the city. The exact dates and times will be posted here soon.
Program Activities
Upcoming Events:
You will learn about the Puentes program, safety, transportation, neighborhoods and cities, local culture and language, and other general tips on living abroad. Bring your questions and your Puentes Welcome Pack, which we will give you upon arrival!
We’ll wrap up the orientation seminars by enjoying some tasty local dishes, as you get to mingle with your fellow interns. Come hungry!
Go on a complete city tour of all of the major neighborhoods and sites of Buenos Aires, including the Recoleta cemetery, La Boca, Plaza de Mayo, 9 de Julio, and Palermo. Wear good walking shoes, and bring your camera!
Put on your dancing shoes and get ready to learn Argentina’s iconic dance! You will have an introductory tango lesson at an authentic “milonga” (location for tango dancing) and then have the opportunity to actually dance with other “milongueros” while listening to live music!
We will go on a full day trip to an “estancia” (Argentine ranch), in the Pampas region outside of Buenos Aires – riding horses, having an introductory polo lesson led by a professional polo player, playing soccer, and eating an Argentine “asado” (barbecue).
Join your cohort and the Puentes team in a final activity to reflect on your experiences, enjoy a few more classic Argentine treats and say your goodbyes.
